Moxie Mail Question: Many of the wines you listed in your last show are wines that I keep for when we have larger gatherings. How can I find wines that are clean? Thanks so much for this... I had no idea. ~ Marion
Thanks Marion!
Beverage grades's safe list keeps a master list (see the list with the button on the right). Aiming for organics is another simple way to avoid added arsenic as Arsenic is not allowed in organics... in wine or any food.
Moxie Mail Question: You mentioned some really disgusting ingredients in the food we eat, like human hair. How many more do I want to know about... or do I? Thanks for all the info you've been providing. ~ Teresa
Thanks Teresa!
Yes, if I were you I'd want to know! Other crazy ingredients to avoid include:
Castoreum ~ Beaver Anal gland secretions, "natural flavor" of vanilla and raspberry
L-Cysteine~ Hair
Brominated Vegetable oil (BVO)~ flame retardant
Tertiary butylhydroquininone (TBHQ), highly dangerous~ found in chicken nuggets and nail polish
Butylated hydroxytoluene(BHT)~ Jet fuel Additive, found in cereal
Antibiotics- all factory farmed animals and animal by-products (beef, chicken, dairy)
Cellulose~ wood pulp/powder, found in most processed foods, shredded cheeses, dressings, baked goods, on and on...
Best way to avoid these...? Aim for whole real food made by farmers. If its got an ingredient list, it's processed. Actively avoid anything with a commercial as these companies have the most highly processed foods made with the most chemicals and fillers made by food scientists.

It's March! This month's take your house back theme is Spring Cleaning!
So this week, for those of us in the south, head to your closet to pull out your winter wear, do a hard edit of what you didn't ever wear this season or repeatedly passed over for something you like better. Organize what truly brings you joy to wear into buckets or another available closet and consign or donate the rest. If you're stil knee deep in winter, do a hard edit on your winter wear so when its time to put it to rest for the season, only what you truly love stays.
