Summer Camp Registration
April Spring Cleaning: Technology
Discussing significant family law issues pending before the Governor.
April means that Spring breaks are over and families with children have begun the countdown to summer. Time for the kids starts dragging and time for the parents starts flying into the anticipated abyss of completely unstructured days.
South Breeze Day Camp offers an old school, northern-style approach to Camp. Its the classic camp of past generations where life-long friendships are formed and extraordinary, novel and entertaining experiences are had. At least six distinct experiences a day, in fact. From performing arts to sports... each day. Kids graduate from camp and often immediately apply to become counselors so they can stay at this camp.
Collier County Parks and Rec has a massive list of very specific camps, such as tennis or robotics or sailing or art that fill up very quickly, especially the most popular or limited availability choices. Link to the right.
Get on top of your summer today and give everyone something to look forward to by signing up for summer camp TODAY while there is still availability!
Spring Cleaning for April: TECHNOLOGY
For this week, we are focusing on our phones.
1. Back up your phone
2. Do a hard edit of your apps
a. Delete what you're not using
b. Reorganize and bundle apps into categories like banking and finance, social media, educational, travel, etc.
3. Change your home screen image to something that brings you joy and/or inspires you like crazy. You see it too often for it to be insignificant.
a. Unsubscribe from what you don't open. Then search and delete all from those companies.
b. Create rules and filters for what you want for a different time (i.e. all Wall Street journal email will go into a WSJ folder to be read at your leisure.)
c. Create folders for things you want to keep but don't need now (i.e. travel ideas, home improvement ideas, etc.)
d. Email is not dissimilar to snail mail and must be regularly attended to, so if you have a hard time keeping up, then calendar yourself to attend to it at least once every two weeks for about 15 minutes.
a. Regularly delete text messages. Its hugely liberating and will reduce your storage demands exponentially.
6. Clean the phone.
a. Soooooo ..... 16% of all phone have feces on them. #gross
b. Flu microbes can survive up to 48 hours, so you grab a door handle after the guy just before you who sneezed into his hand grabbed it, then you grab your phone to check it and touch nearly every centimeter. #gross
c. Use sanitizing wipes for all but touch screen (too sensitive) or get wipes specially designed for touch screens like these -------------------------------------------------------->
d. To REALLY clean... and conveniently charge, look into a Phonesoap box ->
to use overnight.
Now doesn't that feel better already? Passionate living by design...
